Dr. Steven Hao graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992 and was awarded his Medical Degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1996. His postdoctoral training includes an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital plus two fellowships in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York. Dr. Hao is board-certified in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology and is a professional member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, and the Heart Rhythm Society. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS). Dr. Hao is President of Sutter West Bay Medical Group and Medical Director of the Bay Area Cardiovascular Service Line. He directs the electrophysiology program at California Pacific Medical Center and has lectured nationally and internationally on various topics including catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation and issues in Health Policy. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society’s Reimbursement and Regulatory Affairs Committee, is the Alternate Advisor to the AMA CPT Committee, is also a Delegate for the Heart Rhythm Society to the AMA House of Delegates and an Alternate Delegate to the CMA House of Delegates. He has acted as a reviewer for the Journal of Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology, Circulation and Journal of Atrial Fibrillation and has participated as faculty at the America College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society Scientific Sessions. His bibliography contains numerous publications and abstracts.
