Stephanie provides engineering, design, and product development services to the world’s top brands and startups, particularly those in the medical device and consumer electronics industries. She specializes in product design and mechanical engineering, and has demonstrated excellence at every stage of product development, from concept generation to shipping the dang thing. She leads a team of engineers at NewDealDesign, a technology design studio in San Francisco. She has recently shifted her focus to the application of product development methodologies towards the COVID-19 pandemic, to supplement an overloaded, under-resourced healthcare system.
Adaptive Medical Systems Inc. mobilizes and equips medical care providers with rapid response Medical Surge Capability to save lives and reduce human suffering during COVID and other catastrophic events. Connected to a global network of manufacturers, suppliers and distributors, Adaptive Medical Systems Inc. can rapidly identify, procure, mobilize, deploy and sustain rapid medical surge capabilities, provision critical resources, and immediate shelter to areas of need. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to highlight structural fragility in our global supply chains, nowhere is the risk more evident than in the startling shortage of reliable personal protective equipment. Open Standard Respirator is a nonprofit effort formed by a global team of engineers to explore a safe, open-source alternative to traditional N95 filtering face piece respirator for industrial use. The OSR Model 1 is currently in prototype production for field testing and NIOSH evaluation.
