Manohar Srikanth PhD '13
Manohar Srikanth (MIT PhD 2013, Course 2, 6) has been in the photography and camera tech space for over a decade now. His inclination to cameras started at MIT when he first ventured into a DSLR while at the same time taking an Optics course at MIT. He eventually decided to steer his research towards cameras and photography tech. His research work has been well recognized by various media. While at MIT, he worked for various orgs as a photographer, including The Tech, and held several art shows. He also taught Digital Photography class as part of MIT Student Art Association. At Apple Inc. Camera R&D group, he has several camera and imaging patents to his name and has made several key contributions towards Apple’s mobile imaging space. He is currently taking time off from corporate R&D to independently explore the camera & AI technology space.
