Pam Kee SB ‘84
Pam is a patent agent and co-host of the MITCNC virtual welcome event for newcomers to the Bay Area. Register now for the event on Sunday, September 20th, whether you’re a newcomer or an old-timer of the Bay. We welcome everyone to attend and foster those professional and personal connections!
Why did you decide to volunteer with the MITCNC?
It takes far less time than being a parent volunteer for the twins’ activities when they were in school. MITCNC is far more appreciative 🙂 Plus, I promised Ed T. last year on the Hornet!
Tell us a bit about your role with the MITCNC. What are your responsibilities in this position?
I’m still figuring this out…. but it’s probably helping people make connections, professionally and personally.
What exciting things can we expect to see from your area of focus in the coming months? (e.g., social events, speakers, etc.)
Social events in relaxed settings that allow networking and friendships to form and strengthen. Come to our next one! Welcome to the Bay Area…it’s not just for newbies 🙂 Share your favorite place to grab a cup of coffee or scoop of ice cream.
Describe one of your most memorable MIT moments.
Honestly, my most memorable MIT moments have been after graduation. When I switched from engineering to patent law, two of my mentors, HRS and JCW, MIT ’67 and ’68 were MIT. My classmates from ’84 and ’85 were with me when I got married and when my husband passed away. Over the past 40 years, I’ve had a friend from MIT by my side for the good and the bad.
