Mike Duffy, CEO of the largest food distribution company in the United States, understands the big picture and the small details of current issues facing this vital industry that many have taken for granted prior to the pandemic. He will discuss the performance of the food supply chain during the pandemic, lessons learned, and the sudden scarcity of certain items that we have all experienced in the grocery stores.
Mike Duffy is CEO and Board Member of C&S Wholesale Grocers, a $27 billion grocery wholesale company, headquartered in Keene, NH. C&S is the largest wholesale grocery distributor, and 10th largest privately-held company, in the United States based on revenue.
In his previous role as President of the Hospital Solutions and Global Supply Chain at Cardinal Health, Mike was responsible for a $10 billion division with over 23,000 employees. Prior to Cardinal Health, he served as Vice President of the Global Value Chain at Proctor & Gamble. He globally managed customer service, promotions, inventory and distribution for the Gillette Business Unit and co-led the supply chain integration for P&G and Gillette.
In addition to sitting on C&S’s Board of Directors, Mike is a member of the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) Board of Directors and the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) Board of Directors.
Mike earned both a bachelor’s degree in Operations Research and a master’s degree in Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
