Dr Joseph Lewcock serves as the CSO at Denali where he manages the discovery stage portfolio. His group specializes in various aspects of neurodegeneration biology including lysosomal function, glial biology, axon/synapse maintenance and the blood-brain barrier.

Joe received his PhD in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Johns Hopkins University and did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Salk Insitute. He spent 9 years at Genentech where, as Director of Neuroscience he managed the neuroscience portfolio and disease area strategy.
