Dr John Axerio-Cilies is the inventor of Leland, a robust design infrastructure for high performance computing and optimization of pre-surgical planning practices. He developed a framework for using medical images (head CT scans) and Computational Fluid Dynamics software to predict the severity of upper airway disease.

He received his PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics at Stanford University and completed the Program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
