Jason Escamilla is CEO of SF-based ImpactAdvisor, a tech-enabled Registered Investment Advisor for professionals and business owners. IA specializes in tax-optimized and values-driven investing.

Jason also is CEO IMPACT Labs Inc., a FinTech software company empowering investors and investment professionals to define, manage and quantify the impact of investment portfolios according to one’s own definition of “Responsible Investing”. IMPACT recently released vegan.ImpactLabs.com, a vegan-themed portfolio simulator for “green investors”. He has decades of experience managing customized investment portfolios, initially for endowments, universities, mutual funds, high-net-worth families, etc., 20+ years ago at Seneca Capital Management, where tax-efficient and sustainable & social-impact portfolios were all offered. In addition to trading, research and portfolio management, he designed their fully-integrated portfolio management software which allowed a small team to manage hundreds of individual portfolios, including custom social-impact & tax-optimizing overlays. The team’s assets grew 10x to over $10 billion, with only a 50% increase in headcount.

He holds a BA in Economics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT and is a CFA Charterholder.
