Eric Lam is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Biophysics at U.C. San Francisco. His current activities include developing rapid prototyping workflows for streamlining and expediting basic science research and applying advances in 3D technologies for improved patient outcomes. In addition to his academic interests, Eric serves as an advisor to PrinterPrezz, a medical device manufacturer focused on 3D printed medical implants. Eric received his B.S. in Bioengineering at the University of Washington in 2006, and his S.M. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2009 and 2012, respectively, from MIT where he worked with Professor Martin Schmidt on 3D printing techniques for low-volume microelectromechanical systems manufacturing.
