The Future of Data Privacy & Right to Personal Information - PrivacyOps & Automation of CCPA Compliance
Oct 23 - Peninsula

Data Privacy Is a Human Right....Privacy and security are foundational issues of the digital world.  New laws are moving towards recognizing as such.

The next era of Data Privacy requires new technologies, practices, cross-functional collaboration and automation by companies to operationalize privacy practices and offer such data rights to people.  PrivacyOps is fast emerging to be the new discipline to operationalize and automate privacy practices.

CCPA, the landmark consumer privacy law, gives broad rights to California residents on their personal information in custody of companies.  Rights on personal information are being treated as basic human rights.   It applies not only to the companies based in California, but the companies anywhere that hold personal information of California residents.  Some anticipate that the California law can become a kind of de facto national standard, much like the state’s standard for auto emissions.  By an estimate, about 500,000 companies would need to offer these data rights to people.

Come learn about this landmark privacy law and how companies are looking to adopt new technologies to operationalize privacy practices.
