MITCNC Event
Book Club: Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond
Oct 02 - Virtual Event

Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies is a 1997 transdisciplinary non-fiction book by Jared Diamond. In 1998, Guns, Germs, and Steel won the Pulitzer Prize for general nonfiction and the Aventis Prize for Best Science Book.

Diamond's book has also inspired debate and comments from anthropology and history of science experts on how to tell the story of human development. How much is affected by geography and food availability, and what is up to chance? Come for a spirited discussion!
