MITCNC Event
Awaken: Tibetan Buddhist Art and the Path towards Self-Discovery
Sep 13 - Virtual Event

In this event we will tour the Awaken exhibit at the Asian Art Museum, which was scheduled to be on display mid-2020.

Explore the intersection between Buddhist practice and Western scientific understanding of the mind via the lens of Tibetan art.   The works in this special exhibition were explicitly intended to awaken novices to the true nature of reality, and to culminate in a vision of clarity that offers a sharp contrast to the distracted confusion of modern life.  MITCNC participants will be guided by exhibit co-organizer and Tibetan Art expert Jeffrey Durham.

Check out more information on the Asian Art Museum and on the Awaken exhibit specifically, and join us on September 13!

We plan for this event to be the first in a series of virtual museum tours. If there are specific museums you'd like to get a guided, curated virtual tour of, please take our survey.
