Deborah Blum is a Pulitzer-prize winning science journalist, the author of six books, and the fourth director of the Knight Science Journalism Program at MIT. At KSJ, she is also publisher of the program’s award-winning science magazine, Undark (undark.org), She has been a science columnist for The New York Times, a chemistry blogger for Wired, and written for publications ranging from Scientific American to Time. Her most recent book, The Poison Squad, was a 2018 New York Times Notable Book and a PBS documentary.. She serves on the advisory boards of the MIT Museum, the Council for Advancement of Science Writing, and the Brazilian science foundation, Serraphilheira.
