Christine Robson Weaver ’03, MNG ’04, leads product for Machine Learning at Google Research. She joined Google in 2012 as the first PM for ML, and has since built a stellar team of product managers, with whom she has worked to bring ML into every major Google product. Christine and her team helped build several AI products from the ground up including TensorFlow and Google’s Cloud AI, and have also been deeply involved in ML education efforts. She is now focused primarily on accelerating AI Research, Accessibility, and Google’s AI Principles.
Christine was Courses 6-3 and 18 at MIT, staying for a Masters in 2004 before joining IBM Research in Tokyo. During her time at MIT she was active in a wide-range of activities including MISTI-Japan, SAAS, RCC, Burning Man, and UROPs in Courses 3, 6, and 9.
Christine also holds a PhD in CS from UC Berkeley, which she achieved while working for IBM Research Watson & Almaden. Christine is also an avid birdwatcher — her sons’ first words were “bird” and “duck,” respectively.
