Michael Carboy MBA '87
Michael Carboy is an international operating and finance executive focusing on decarbonization and sustainability themes for businesses, large and small.
With over thirty years of operating and financial experience, Mr. Carboy’s business expertise spans solar and wind power, grid infrastructure and green technologies, including energy efficiency, biomaterials, and green biofuels as well as traditional industrial manufacturing, desalination and electricity production. He has worked with both international public companies, Oerlikon and ACWA Power, and privately-held NOMAC in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the USA focusing on the commercialization and integration of these emerging technologies into domestic and global energy and industrial infrastructures.
In the financial sector, Mr. Carboy led the establishment and management of Deutsch Bank’s DB Climate Change Advisors Asia, India and Brazil research program and founded the clean energy and sustainability equity research practice of Signal Hill Capital Group.
Mr. Carboy earned his MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and a master’s degree in International Environmental Policy from Middlebury College’s Institute of International Studies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
