As MITCNC Spotlight Chair, Anjuli is responsible for putting together this year’s Spotlight Gala. This year’s Spotlight will feature the founder and CEO of Stripe, Patrick Collision. and her work on the Gala and reserve your seats for the event on October 12th!
Why did you decide to volunteer with the MITCNC?
I have several friends who are very active in the MITCNC and I wanted to get involved too!
Tell us a bit about your role with the MITCNC. What are your responsibilities in this position?
I am responsible for putting together our Spotlight Gala which is an annual event where MIT alumni can get together and celebrate. We “spotlight” a distinguished MIT community member who has truly embodied the MIT spirit “Mens et Manus” and made significant contributions to our society.
What exciting things can we expect to see from your area of focus in the coming months? (e.g., social events, speakers, etc.)
This year’s Spotlight Gala will be bigger and better! We have founder and CEO of Stripe, Patrick Collison, coming in to speak with us at the event, which is very exciting. It will be an amazing opportunity for MIT alumni to learn a bit from someone who has been successful in Silicon Valley. After the discussion and gourmet meal at the Ritz, we will also have a great party with casino games and dancing!
Describe one of your most memorable MIT moments.
I don’t know if I can narrow down memorable moments at MIT! I remember how wonderful it felt to be surrounded by people who were curious, motivated, creative, and exceptional. I feel so lucky to have met most of my best friends at MIT, including my amazing husband!
