mit Srivastava PhD is Senior Director in Vaccines Medical Affairs at Pfizer, and the Lead in Emerging Markets (Latin America, Africa & Middle East, Asia) for COVID-19 and Meningococcal vaccines. Earlier he was the medical lead for meningococcal vaccines in the United States for 3 years.

Amit came to Pfizer from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), where he was the lead for pneumococcal vaccine development – managing clinical programs, manufacturing and regulatory strategy for a portfolio of vaccine candidates – and was responsible for a range of BMGF strategic investments spanning vaccine and diagnostic development, epidemiology and vaccine impact studies, disease modeling and vaccine launch strategy in India.

Prior to that, Amit was a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), and research faculty at Harvard Medical School & Boston Children’s Hospital with grant funding from the NIH and BMGF.

Amit earned his PhD in cell biology and genetics from Carnegie Mellon University, USA.
