Amesh Adalja

Amesh Adalja is lead author of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) publication Priorities for the Health Community Responding to COVID-19. Dr. Adalja’s work is focused on emerging infectious disease, pandemic preparedness, and biosecurity. Dr. Adalja has served on US government panels tasked with developing guidelines for the treatment of plague, botulism, and anthrax in mass casualty settings and the system of care for infectious disease emergencies.
Dr. Adalja is a graduate of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, and he obtained a bachelor of science degree in industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University.
