K-12 Roundtables are open discussions on topics related to K-12 education.
The current pandemic has wreaked havoc in all parts of society. One of the hardest hit areas is public education. Many students are falling behind in school because of distance learning. Some school districts are partnering with nonprofits to recruit and train after-school tutors. These after-school tutors work as volunteers to conduct one-on-one tutoring with the most vulnerable student population at no cost to the students and their families.
In this November roundtable, the speaker will share his experience as an after-school tutor for Step Up Tutoring. He will describe the onboarding process and answer any questions from participants who are interested in becoming an after-school tutor.
